- (Er, right <sheepish grin>...) Although, it would still work: Ctrl-A would
- select all (obviously visible since all items would be marked), then another
- ctrl-A would deslect all, including the originally selected.

- But, ok, I suppose most(?) would prefer a one-command option for deselect.
